Product Description

Industrial Sludge Dryer is a high-efficiency, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly equipment specially designed for the drying treatment of municipal and industrial sludge.

The system adopts advanced hot air circulation or low-temperature drying technology, effectively reducing sludge moisture content and significantly decreasing sludge volume. This facilitates subsequent resource utilization (e.g., incineration for power generation, brick-making, composting) or compliant disposal, helping customers achieve environmental compliance and operational cost optimization.

Working Principle

The sludge dryer is primarily composed of an induced draft fan, material crushing/dispersion device, belt feeder, feeding conveyor, rotary drum, heat source, discharge belt conveyor, unloading device, and control cabinet. The working zones of the single-pass sludge dryer consist of the discharge zone, inclined lifting flight zone, self-cleaning zone, and feed zone.

1.In the feed zone, wet sludge enters and immediately contacts high-temperature hot air, rapidly evaporating moisture. The large-angle lifting flights prevent material adhesion and guide the sludge smoothly to the next zone.

2.The discharge zone features no lifting flights, allowing the dried material to roll and slide freely toward the outlet, completing the drying process.

3.In the self-cleaning zone, the lifting flights cascade the sludge into a curtain-like flow for efficient heat transfer. Since material buildup on the drum wall is common here, the integrated cleaning device effectively removes adhered sludge while simultaneously breaking up clumps—enhancing heat exchange efficiency and drying rates.

4.Finally, in the inclined lifting flight zone, the sludge becomes loose and low-moisture, eliminating stickiness. After final heat exchange, it reaches the target dryness before exiting through the discharge zone.

This optimized zonal design ensures continuous, clog-free operation while maximizing thermal efficiency for high-viscosity sludge treatment.
