The beer lees dryer is a specialized drying equipment for handling wet materials such as beer lees. It can convert high-moisture beer lees (usually with relatively high initial moisture content; for example, the moisture content of fresh beer lees often exceeds 70%) into dry materials with low moisture content, which are convenient for storage, transportation, and subsequent comprehensive utilization, through the drying process. The moisture content of the dry materials can be adjusted as required (usually it can be reduced to a suitable range of about 12% - 15%). In terms of appearance, it is mostly a large-scale industrial drying equipment, often equipped with components such as a drying main machine, a heat source system, a conveying system, and a dust removal system. The equipment shown in the picture presents a regular industrial equipment form and has the capability of continuous production operations.

Working Principle

It utilizes a heat source (commonly, heat energy is provided by coal, gas, biomass pellets, etc.; there are also energy-saving methods such as waste heat recovery) to generate hot air or other heat transfer media, which enter the cylinder of the dryer main machine. The beer lees are sent into the dryer through conveying equipment. Inside the cylinder, with the rotation of the cylinder and the function of structures such as lifting plates, they are continuously dispersed and turned over, making full contact with the heat transfer medium to achieve heat transfer. The hot and humid air carries the evaporated moisture and is discharged through the dust removal and other exhaust gas treatment systems. The materials gradually complete the drying process inside the cylinder and are finally discharged as dry beer lees products from the discharge end, realizing the volume reduction and dehydration of the beer lees for convenient subsequent disposal and utilization.
