The paper pulp residue dryer is a drying equipment specifically designed for pulp residues generated in the paper-making industry (such as residual fiber residues from pulping processes, filter residues from waste paper treatment, etc.). Its core function is to remove excess moisture from pulp residues through thermal energy, converting wet residues with high initial moisture content (usually 50%-85%) into dry materials with controllable moisture content (generally reduced to below 10%), thereby achieving volume reduction, weight reduction, and resource recovery of solid waste. The equipment consists of a feeding device, a drying host (mostly drum-type), a heat source system (such as a gas furnace, biomass furnace, etc.), an exhaust gas purification system, a discharging mechanism, and an intelligent control system. It can flexibly adjust operating parameters according to the fiber characteristics, viscosity, and processing capacity of pulp residues to adapt to drying needs in different scenarios.

Working Principle

The paper pulp residue dryer realizes drying through the synergy of "hot air convection + mechanical dispersion", with the specific process as follows:

1. Feeding and pre-processing: Wet pulp residues are conveyed into the drying drum via a screw conveyor. Special lifting plates or dispersing components inside the drum disperse and crush agglomerated residues, preventing caking and increasing the contact area between materials and the heat medium.

2. Heat exchange drying: High-temperature hot air (120-300℃) generated by the heat source system flows countercurrently (occasionally cocurrently) with the dispersed pulp residues in the drum. Through convective heat exchange between hot air and the material surface, free water and part of the bound water in the pulp residues are quickly evaporated.

3. Separation and purification: The dried materials are discharged from the outlet as the drum rotates. The dusty, damp, and hot exhaust gas generated during the process is treated by purification devices such as cyclone separators and bag filters to remove dust before reaching emission standards, avoiding secondary pollution.
