The biomass screw briquette machine is a specialized device designed to convert biomass raw materials (such as wood chips, straw, rice husks, bamboo shavings, and sawdust) into hollow rod-shaped briquettes through mechanical compression. It integrates crushing, drying (pre-treatment), and molding functions, effectively transforming loose biomass into dense, easy-to-store, and transport solid fuels or industrial materials, playing a key role in biomass resource utilization.

Working Principle

The core principle of the biomass screw briquette machine lies in screw extrusion and thermal bonding:

1. Raw material feeding: Pre-treated (crushed and dried to appropriate moisture content) biomass materials are fed into the machine's feeding hopper.

2. Screw propulsion and compression: A rotating screw auger in the machine barrel pushes the materials forward, gradually compressing them as the screw pitch decreases, reducing the volume and increasing density.

3. Heating and bonding: During compression, the machine's heating system (usually around the machine barrel) raises the temperature, causing lignin in the biomass to soften and act as a natural binder, enhancing the cohesion of the briquettes.

4. Hollow molding: Under the combined action of screw pressure and a special mold with a central core rod, the compressed materials are extruded through the mold, forming hollow rod-shaped briquettes with a central through-hole, which are then cut to the required length.
