Product Description

This small-scale pellet production line is specially designed for processing biomass fuel, animal feed, chemical raw materials, and other pelletizing needs. It integrates crushing, mixing, pelletizing, cooling, and screening into a compact system, featuring a space-saving structure, user-friendly operation, and low energy consumption. It is ideal for small and medium-sized enterprises as well as startup investments.

Working Principle

1. Raw material pretreatment

Crushing: Large pieces of raw materials (such as branches and straw) are crushed into fine particles (usually 3-5mm) by a crusher to ensure the uniformity of subsequent processing.

Drying: The moisture of raw materials is controlled at 10%-15% through drying equipment (such as rotary dryer). Excessive moisture will affect the forming effect.

2. Conveying 

The pretreated raw materials are sent by a screw conveyor or belt conveyor to the pellet mill.

3. Compression molding (core link)

Ring mold pellet machine (common in small production lines):

The raw material is fed into the ring mold cavity, and rotating pressure rollers squeeze the material through holes in the ring mold (usually 6-12mm in diameter).

High pressure (50-100MPa) and high temperature (60-100℃) soften the lignin, enhance the plasticity of the material, and form cylindrical particles after extrusion.

Flat mold pellet machine:

The press roller rotates on a flat die to roll the raw material, and the material passes vertically downward through the die hole to form. The structure is simpler and suitable for soft raw materials.

4. Cooling and screening

Cooling: The temperature of the freshly formed particles is high (about 80℃) and need to be cooled by a cooling tower to harden and shape, while reducing moisture.

Screening: The vibrating screen removes debris and unformed particles, and qualified products enter the packaging process.

5. package and storage

The granules are weighed and packaged by an automatic packaging machine (usually 15-25kg/bag), or stored in bulk in a moisture-proof warehouse.
