Petroleum coke dryer is a drying equipment specially designed for petroleum coke materials. It is mainly used to reduce the moisture content of petroleum coke, making it meet the process requirements of subsequent processing (such as calcination, forming, power generation, etc.). The equipment usually adopts a drum structure, combined with a high-temperature hot air system. Through a reasonable internal lifting plate design, it realizes full contact between petroleum coke and heat medium, efficiently removes moisture, and ensures uniform drying and stable quality of materials.

Working Principle

The core working principle of petroleum coke dryer is heat and mass exchange:
1. Wet petroleum coke enters the inclined drum through the feeding device. As the drum rotates, the materials are continuously lifted and scattered under the action of gravity and internal lifting plates, forming a uniform material curtain.
2. High-temperature hot air flow (usually from gas, coal-fired or electric heating systems) flows in the same or opposite direction with the materials in the drum, transferring heat to the wet materials through convection, conduction and radiation.
3. The moisture in the materials absorbs heat and evaporates into water vapor, which is discharged with the waste gas. Finally, the dried petroleum coke is discharged from the outlet.
